Background: Lack of proper understanding important pediatric acute pain management concepts can lead to under-treatment and ultimately impact the quality child care. Today's multimedia training methods are considered necessary for continuous lifelong education. Aim: evaluate effect an educational program through a lecture versus multimedia on nurses’ knowledge attitude regarding management. Subjects Methods: Design: A quasi-experimental design is used in this study. Setting: The study was conducted wards Sohag, Egypt. Sample: convenient sample included 45 pediatric nurses randomly divided into two groups. The tool data collection consists of parts: Part I deals with demographic characteristics as designed by the researchers. II based attitudes survey (PNKAS) on pain; it Manworren (2001). Results:The study showedthat multimedia group showed improvement their compared group, majority them after implementation satisfactory level pain management highly significant differences ((p <0.001). total knowledge means scores showed immediately, one week, month after implementation. is observed nurses' retention program implementation. Conclusion: Both education improved level of PNKAS scale. However, higher than that group. Recommendations: Future studies should examine the pediatric knowledge, practices well of knowledge over extended period.
